Elizabeth married John Relf at St Mary Magdalene, Gillingham, Kent on 31 Dec 1796. [2][3] In the 2 decades following their marriage John & Elizabeth had at least 7 children, all baptised in Chatham, Kent.
In the 1841 census Elizabeth was living in Chatham, Kent with her husband John. John & Elizabeth's children all appear to have left the family home by the time of the 1841 census, although at least 1 of their children is living nearby (their daughter Jane is recorded at an address on River Row with her husband in this census, River Row is the same road on which John & Elizabeth are living according to census images accessed at ancestry.co.uk) [4]
In the 1851 census Elizabeth was living in Chatham, Kent with her husband John. [1]
In the 1861 census Elizabeth was now a widow and living with her daughter Elizabeth, son in law Joshua and their children. [5]
Elizabeth died in 1863 and was buried at the same church where John & Elizabeth had married. The burial register notes that she was 87 years old and that the death occurred at Chatham. [6][7]
