Biography

Cornelia is the daughter of Medad Butler and Hannah Tylee. She was born 16 Oct 1813 and baptised 12 Dec 1813 at the Reformed Dutch Church, Kinderhook, Columbia, New York.^[1] She married Abraham A. Van Alen on 20 May 1847 in Stuyvesant, New York. ^[2]

Research Notes

For some reason a Hannah Pool's Findagrave memorial # 38021546 in Lancaster, PA became identified as Cornelia Hannah Butler's. I have worked with the memorial keeper to have this corrected, however there are lots of trees on Ancestry that will still have this connection as a fact. I have been unable to identify who that Hannah or her husband John Pool really are. JS
