"General Butler Private - Co. H - 34th Georgia Infantry - CSA Enlisted May 12, 1862 in Banks Co., GA by Capt. Dorough for the duration of the war.

His name was changed from Hackley Butler to General Butler in Jackson Co., GA by Act of 16 February 1850."
