Biography

Anne Butler/Boteler was a daughter of William Butler/Boteler and Ursula Smythe.[1][2]

Alice Butler and her twin Thomas Butler were baptised on 06 Mar 1586/1587 at St Mary the Virgin Aldermanbury, City of London, children of William, gent.[3]

Alice was a beneficiary of the will of her grandmother Alice (Judde) Smythe, the will made on 10 Jul 1592.[4]

She married Edward Osborne esq. of the Inner Temple.[1][2][5][6][7]

Alice married Edward Osborne esq. on 21 Apr 1605 at Biddenham, Bedfordshire.[8]

Death

Alice Osborne, wife of Edward esq., died on 12 Jun 1615[5] and was buried on 14 Jun 1615 at Biddenham, Bedfordshire.[8]

In the will of her mother Ursula (Smythe) Butler, made in 1619, it was noted that Alice was deceased, buried at Biddenham, Bedfordshire, and that she was the mother of four children: Edward Osborne, Ursula Osborne, William Osborne and Anne Osborne.[7]

Alice is recorded on the monument to her mother and father in the church of St James, Biddenham, Bedfordshire.[9]
