Biography

Minnie E Butler was born on 07 Sep 1875, at Windsor, Eaton, Michigan, United States, [1] and died in March 1973, in Lansing, Ingham, Michigan, United States, [2] at the age of 97 years and 6 months old. She is buried in Dimondale Cemetery, Dimondale, Eaton, Michigan, United States. [3] Minnie was the daughter of Edwin David Butler (abt 1851- ) and Fannie Euretta Cunningham (abt 1852- ). [4] [5] Edwin and Fannie had at least three children: [6]

  3. Vernon Butler (abt 1878- )

Minnie married twice. She first married Hiram P Bailey (1871-1946) on 22 Feb 1894 in Dimondale, Eaton, Michigan, United States. His parents' names were M H Bailey and Charlotte Towsley. [7] [8] The marriage (not included in Wikitree) ended in divorce on 27 Dec 1909. [9] He went on to marry Clara Marsh on 30 Apr 1927 at Dimondale and she married Louis Ashton Saunders (1857-1934) on 26 Jun 1912, at Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States. [4] The marriage ended with Louis' death on 03 April 1934. [10] She died 39 years later in 1973.

Minnie's Divorce decree [9] mentions three children from her first marriage. In her ex-husband's Find a Grave Index site, a daughter, Jennie May Bailey (1905-1905), is cited [8] and the infant's death certificate is included in her own burial record [11] Minnie and Hiram were her parents. In the 1920 census, [12] two girls appear, ostensibly Minnie's daughters, Fannie C Bailey, 16 and Edna D Bailey, 12, both born in Michigan.

No children were found from her second marriage with Louis A Saunders.
