Biography

Melissa Butler was born in 1852. In the 1870 census Melissa (age 18) was in Marion, Jennings, Indiana.^[1]

Melissa married Virgil Aaron Buckles March 13, 1873, in Jennings County, Indiana.^[2] In the 1900 census Malissa (age 48) was the wife of Virgil A Buckles in Garden, Blue Earth, Minnesota.^[3] In the 1910 census Melissa (age 57) was the wife of V A Buckles in Garden City, Blue Earth, Minnesota, United States.^[4] In the 1920 census Melisa (age 68) was the wife of Vergil A Buckels in Garden City, Blue Earth, Minnesota.^[5]

Mrs. Melissa Buckles died December 30, 1935. She was buried at Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Blue Earth County, Minnesota.^[6]
