Biography

DEBORAH BUTTERFIELD, born at Chelmsford, 18 Aug 1714 daughter of Benjamin Butterfield and Elizabeth Fletcher;[1] Deborah died at Boxborough, 14 Dec 1786;[2] married at Westford, 9 Dec 1740,[3] JAMES ROBBINS, born at Groton, 19 Feb 1716/7[4] son of Robert and Mary (Dill) Robbins;[5][6] James died at Boxborough, 11 Jul 1791.[7]

Deborah Butterfield and James Robbins resided in Littleton in an area later set off to Boxborough. In 1790, the household of James Robbins was two persons at Boxborough: one male 16 and over and one female.[8]

Deborah Butterfield and James Robbins were parents of five children born at Littleton.

i DEBORAH ROBBINS, b. 16 Dec 1741; d. at Boxborough, 2 Jan 1822; m. at Littleton, 14 May 1766, JOTHAM WHITCOMB, b. at Littleton, 8 Aug 1737 son of Jonathan and Deliverance (Nutting) Whitcomb; Jotham d. at Boxborough, 17 Feb 1821.

ii ELIZABETH “BETTY” ROBBINS, b. 5 Jan 1745; m. at Littleton, 21 Aug 1781, JAMES DANIELS. Nothing further was found.

iii JAMES ROBBINS, b. 2 Apr 1749; d. at Lancaster, MA, 18 Jul 1828; m. at Harvard, MA, 16 Apr 1777, ANNA WARNER.

iv BENJAMIN ROBBINS, b. 12 Feb 1753; d. at Boston, 22 Jun 1810; m. at Harvard, 13 Oct 1774, LYDIA HEALD, b. at Harvard, 3 Feb 1755 daughter of Isaac and Tamer (Whitcomb) Heald.

v MARY ROBBINS, b. 19 May 1756; d. at Boxborough, 6 Nov 1814; m. at Littleton, 2 Jan 1773, SIMEON WETHERBEE, b. about 1752 son of Silas and Elizabeth (Brown) Wetherbee; Simeon d. at Boxborough, Jan 1832. Simeon married second Anna Taylor on 29 Feb 1816.
