Thomas was born about 1842 in England[1] and came to New Zealand around 1860.[2]
Around 1870 and 1871 he entered a relationship with Elizabeth Dawson and they had seven children together. I can find no documentation of their marriage so can not confirm that they were legally married.[3]
Thomas settled in Charleston and was miner all his working life.
He died in Hokitika in 1923[4] and is buried at Hokitika Cemetery. [1]
Notes:
Thomas death certificate was signed by the coroner, therefore the information on it is scant, ie, no issue listed, nor parents or spouse. He left a will where he bequeathed his estate to his daughter Mary Parsons, wife of Benjamin Parsons.[5]
