Ebenezer McBurney Byers was an American socialite, sportsman, and industrialist. He won the 1906 U.S. Amateur in golf. He died of cancer caused by overusing the popular patent medicine Radithor.
Eben was born in 1880. Eben Byers was the son of Alexander Byers and Martha Flemming. He passed away in 1932.

BYERS-On Thursday, March 31, 1932, at 2:20 a. m., at the Doctors' Hospital in New York, Eben M. Byers. Funeral services at the residence of his brother, J. Fredrick Byers, Sewickley Heights, Saturday afternoon, April 2, at 2 o'clock. Friends are requested not to send flowers. Interment private.
