Biography
Catharine was born on December 8, 1828, in Nelson County, Kentucky, to John Byrne and Catherine Hill.
On November 13, 1847, a marriage license was issued to James M. Rhodes and Miss Catherine C. Byrne in Meade County, Kentucky. Ignatius Byrne signed with James for the bond.[1] The pair were married on November 16 at St. Martin Of Tours Catholic Church, Flaherty, Meade County, Kentucky.
She passed away in May 8, 1852, in Meade County, Kentucky and is buried in St. Martin Cemetery in Flaherty, Meade County. A memorial page has been established on Find A Grave.

1850 - United States Federal Census - In the 1850 census, James W Rhodes, 29, is living in Meade County, Kentucky, with his wife, Catherine, 23, and their children, Josephine, 2, and James, 1. Living with the family is 18-year-old Eliza Beeson. James is farming.[2]
