Her grandmother, Daisy Ada Emily Byrne was born in Ireland in 1896 and her grandfather, Robert Alexander Byrne, is believed to have been born in Berlin, Germany in 1894. Her father was Richard Decker, also believed to have been born in Berlin, Germany. She passed away in Pretoria, South Africa in 2006. She was a housewife.
