Biography
William was born in 1869, the son of Ireland-born parents Edward Byrne (1833-1906) and Mary Ann Keaveny (1848-1890). [1] His mothers name was recorded as Mary Kenny.
In 1900 he married Ellen Yore (1868-1931). [2]
They had five children:—
- Marion (1902)
- John (1908)
- Eileen (1911)
- and another son (1914?).
William passed away in 1947, aged 78. [3] Here his mother was recorded as Mary Ann Kenny.

- BYRNE, William Henry.—On 8th April, 1947, at his late residence, "Boorarah," Rathdowney. Interred Palen Creek Cemetery. Deeply mourned.
He was buried in the Palen Creek Cemetery. [5]
