DEATH. (1936, May 15). The Carcoar Chronicle (NSW : 1878 - 1943), p. 2. Retrieved from http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article103565345 DEATH. LATE THOMAS BYRNE. It is our sad duty to chronicle the death of Mr. Thomas Byrne, of 'Essen,' Lyndhurst, at the age of 65 years. On Friday last he was brought to the Carcoar Hospital when it was found that double pneumonia had set in. On Tuesday evening, in spite of every attention and careful nursing he passed away. Born in this district, the late Mr. Byrne spent all his life around here. He was engaged in farming and also went in for sheep. His property at Lyndhurst, 'Essen,' was well known. He married Miss Harriet O'Reilly, of Nargong, and have a family of five sons— Jack, Ben, Walter, Tom and Patrick— and one daughter, Vera. To his bereaved wife and family we extend our sympathy. The funeral took place at the Catholic portion of the cemetery, yesterday afternoon. Rev. P. Casey officiating.
