Biography

Florence Cade was born around 1635.[1]

Florence Cade was brought over to the Virginia Colony in 1655 by George Parker of Northampton County.[2] She was named in a headright certificate issued to George Parker, March 8, 1654/5.[3][4]

Florence married George Parker around 1655.[5]

  1. #Long: Long gives the date (based on one deposition) but does not give the maiden name of Cade (unsourced).
  2. #Greer No evidence is yet cited that demonstrates that this Florence is wife to George, mentioned in Will-Parker-1963.
  3. #Long Northampton County Virginia, records, Liber 1651-54, Deeds, Wills, &c. No. 4 (iv), page 227.
  4. #Nugent
  5. This is a guess based on the supposition that George met Florence Cade after he brought her over to Virginia and that they were subsequently married and she is the Florence from Will-Parker-1963.
