Biography

Son of James and Patience (Bacon) Cady.

The first reliable mention of this Noah Cady is found in the U. S. census of Vermont in 1790, which locates him in Hancock, Vt., and gives him a household of one male and one female, from which we may infer that he had just been married. The town of Hancock was first settled in 1788 and organized in 1792, when Noah Cady was elected the first Constable. He remained in town until 1820, when he removed to Braintree, Vt., where he died in 1848.

The children of Noah Cady were b. in Hancock, Vt., with one exception.
