Biography

In his will, Hardy Cain describes himself as "very sick" of body, and names his wife Rachel, currently pregnant, daughters Isabell, Peurity, and Sarah, and a brother James.

Slaves

Henry was willed a "negro boy called Peter" by his father William Cain, Sr. around 1754, and in his own will, he lists "One Negro Man Named Peter" to be transferred to his daughter Sarah.
