Research Notes
Mary gave her place of birth as Jackson County in her marriage record. Her parents were married in Jackson County in 1835 but were in that part of Wood County which became Wirt County by 1840. It is not known for certain when the move was made from that part of Jackson County which became Wirt County to that part of Wood County which became Wirt County. Wirt County was formed in 1848 from parts of Jackson and Wood Counties.
