Jonathan Day Cain was born on December 14, 1813 in Mississippi Territory, son of William Robert Cain (1785–1818) and Nancy Dees (1790–1864).[1]
Jonathan (22) married Mary Ann Harp (14) (born on September 3, 1821 in Rhea, Tennessee, United States; daughter of Thomas Marion Harp and Prudence (Masoner) Harp) on June 23, 1836 in Rhea, Tennessee. Their children were:
Jonathan died on January 23, 1887 in Burr Ferry, Vernon Parish Louisiana., aged 73.[1]
