Biography

Ethel May was born on May 25, 1924 in Abernathy, Texas to Thomas and Susie (Dickinson) Cain. Ethel married RB Marchbanks (date unkown). RB was killed in World War II. He was awarded the Purple Heart. [1]


They had two children together:

She later married John Ross Thomas, who was also killed in World War II. Her son, RB Marchbanks, jr. was also killed in Viet Nam.

Her surviving children are John, Virgil, and Ethel.

Ethel May died on February 24, 2012. She is buried in Mountain Valley Cemetery in Edgewood, New Mexico.[2]
