Biography

Elizabeth was born on 15 May 1813 in Talbot County, Maryland. She was the daughter of Jabez Caldwell and Sarah Hardcastle.[1]

When Elizabeth was 26 she married Henry George Davis on 8 February 1840 in New Castle County, Delaware. The couple had one child: Henrietta George Davis.[2]

In 1850 Elizabeth (age about 36) was living in Easton, Kent County, Maryland.[1]

In 1860 Elizabeth (age about 46) was living in Wye Mills, Talbot County, Maryland.[3]

Note: Abt 1831 - The children of Jabez and Sarah Caldwell inherited the paternal estate in Talbot county and their uncle, Gen. John Caldwell's estates in Delaware. The beautiful property "Oak Hill" in New Castle County, was "bequeathed to John Sippel Caldwell.
DEATH: Elizabeth Caldwell Davis, daughter of Jabez and Sarah Caldwell, died August 30, 1862.
BURIAL: Tombstone is at the Old Wye Church in Wye Mills MD.
