Biography
Robert C. Caldwell was born on August 1, 1747 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, son of Alexander Caldwell (1690–1766) and Mary Colwell (1709–1791).[1]
Robert (26) married Mary Stephenson (22) (born in 1750 in Pennsylvania; daughter of Jane (Buchanan) Stephenson) on December 7, 1773 in York, Pennsylvania. Their son was Thomas Henderson Caldwell (1792–1870).
Robert died on July 26, 1836 in Dixie, Callaway, Missouri, United States, aged 88.[1] He was buried in Caldwell Cemetery, Callaway County, Missouri.
