Biography
James Caldwell was born in 1796 in Drumhara, Fermanagh, Ireland.
He married Margaret Robinson. Together they had 9 children:

- Anthony Caldwell
- John Caldwell
- Sophia Caldwell
- Mary Caldwell
- Christopher Caldwell
- Slack Caldwell
- Margaret Caldwell
- Catherine Caldwell
The children were all baptised at Lisnaskea Holy Trinity Church of Ireland.
He died sometime before 1842. James Caldwell does not appear in the 1842 Canada Census and Margaret is listed as the head of the household.
James does not have a headstone at Shawville Cemetery where Margaret is buried.
