Biography

Jeanne / Jane was born abt 1688 / 1689. She was the sister of Captain John Caldwell who was the grandfather of John C. Calhoun of South Carolina. Jane married abt. 1720 in Ireland to Alexander Richey and they had the following children:

1. James Richey, b. 25 Jul 1724, m. Margaret Caldwell
2. John Richey, b. 1725, m. Jane Davis
3. Agnes Richey, b. 1726, m. William Crockett
4. Samuel Richey, b. 1728
5. Marey Richey, b. abt 1735
6. Alexander Richey, b. 20 Aug 1739 m. Mary Wilson
7. Catrin Richey, b. 1741
8. Susanna Richey, b. 1745

Jane & Alexander emigrated to America In 1727 with several other families.Lived in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania before moving to Virginia colony. Jane died Aug 1785 in Prince Edward County, Virginia. Many of her children had moved away from Virginia. ^{[1] [2] [3]}.^[4]
