interesting! I could be wrong, but isn't the Annals of Augusta County page referring to the John C Calhoun that was the son of Patrick Calhoun and Martha Caldwell? As I understand it, Patrick was the son of James Patrick Calhoun (this John C Calhoun's brother), the original immigrant to the US. See http://mv.ancestry.com/viewer/93581e12-0c7c-4dee-a8be-6790b2c2b607/26422540/26119699650?_phsrc=tQd8749&usePUBJs=true. There may be information I am not aware of, however.
Calhoun-561 and Calhoun-281 are not ready to be merged because: This seems to be the same person, but which birth place should be selected? Did the person die in Ireland or in Pennsylvania 10 years later? Please make the data field consistent before proposing a merge.
Calhoun-561 and Calhoun-281 appear to represent the same person because: They have the same parents and were born about the same time in Ireland. Calhoun-281, however, died 1755 in Ireland while Calhoun-561 died 1788 in Pennsylvania. Susan Shirley is listed on both profiles.
