Biography

Lampson Calkins was born in Vermont in 1809, moving to Onondaga County, NY and then Wood County, Ohio with his parents. He worked as a farmer. Between 1840 and 1850 he moved from Ohio to Michigan.

He and his wife, Caroline [[Hewitt-1461] had six children, two of whom died young. He passed away in Michigan in 1882 and is buried with his wife at the North Clarence Cemetery in Clarence Center, Michigan.
