Biography
Almeda was born about 1839. She was the daughter of John Calkins and Elizabeth Rice.[1] She married Edwin Smith on 20 September 1856 in Wood County[2] and they had a son, Clinton.
[3] They divorced, because by 1870, Almeda was living with her parents in Providence Township, Lucas County, and had her son Clinton with her.[4] In 1910, she is listed as divorced. Almeda's brother, Harvey, married Edwin's sister, Louisa. She passed away on 20 Mar 1917.[5][6]
