Biography
Arcus was born in 1836. He was the son of Lyman Calkins and Amy Albee. On 17 Sep 1859, he married Mary E. Patch (1842-1919) in Neillsville, Clark, Wisconsin.

They had seven children, three of whom died in infancy.

Arcus passed away in 1906

and is buried at Brodtville Cemetery in Wyalusing, Grant, Wisconsin.
