THOUGHTS: The 4th GGrandfather of my sons is Thomas Strickland Caulkins, who married Lucy Youngman. He is the father of Dr. Daniel Caulkins. The profile of Dr. Caulkins is very interesting. Daniel was creative and scientific and no doubt was the apple of his parents eye or the kid who got into a lot of mischief. Wonder which? In the 1860 Census, he is 68 and farming. His daughter Lucinda may never have married as she is living with Thomas and Lucy when she is 48, in 1860.

Biography

Thomas Strickland Caulkins was born on July 11, 1791, in New London, Connecticut. He had seven sons and five daughters with Lucy Youngman between 1816 and 1839. He died on February 7, 1867, in Lempster, New Hampshire, having lived a long life of 75 years.

About 1815 Marriage Lucy Youngman married Thomas Strickland Caulkins.

Thomas Caulkins passed away in 1867. He is buried at East Lempster Cemetery.
