Biography

Harold was born in 1894, the son of Albert Calkins and Clarissa Mayhew.He served with the United States Army in the Mexican Border conflict prior to World War I as SGT Harold Leith Calkins.

He served in the Army during World War I and was a member and past commander of the Allegan VFW Post 3667.

Harold married Beatrice Mildred McArthur in 1920 and they had several children together.

He passed away on 1 August 1983 in Allegan, Allegan, Michigan, United States.
