Thomas [Noell] married Mildred Callaway , daughter of Richard Callaway and Frances Walton . Mildred was born in 1756 in Caroline County, Virginia and died in 1810 in Bedford County, Virginia, at age 54.
Father: Col. Richard CALLAWAY (Joseph, Joseph) was born on 14 Jun 1717 in Essex County, Virginia. He married Francis Walton in Jul 1745. He died on 8 Mar 1780 in Boonesborough, Virginia, at age 62. He lived in Bedford County, Virginia, and was a justice of the peace and officer of the county militia there, until moving to Boonesborough, Virginia (now Kentucky). In a biography of Daniel Boone by John Mack Faragher, Richard is described as "officious, bad tempered, and a bit of a blue blood." He was killed by Indians as he worked with his slaves near Boonesborough; his body was scalped, mutilated, and rolled into a mud hole.
