Notes for JOHN CALLAWAY:
John Callaway was born about 1685 in Somerset County, Maryland. On December 25, 1709 he married Mary Gould in Stepney [Parish] of Somerset County. She was the daughter of Edward and Francis Gould. Edward Gould bought 200 acres called "Beverly" on June 9, 1694 for 7000 pounds of good merchantable tobacco in Somerset County. The Gould family later moved from Somerset County leaving no traces. John Callaway became a cooper by trade and accumulated several tracts of land. Some of these tracts were inherited from his father. In the early land patents and rent rolls these different tracts were given the names of "Callaway's Folly", "Callaway's Chance", "Callaway's Hard Fortune", "Callaway's Venture", and "Venture Still". Part of this land extended across the Maryland line into Delaware.
Mary (Gould) Callaway died before 1770 in Somerset County. Her husband, John Callaway, outlived all of his children except his son Ebenezer. John died in the early part of 1770 leaving a will that named all their children.

Please complete the merge of these two records. I just created the record for John Callaway and then found your record for John Calloway. WikiTree didn't recognize that they were the same person because of the difference in spelling of the last names.
