John CAMERON was born about 1847 in Rosskean, Ross-shire, Scotland, son of John CAMERON and Elizabeth (McCRAE) CAMERON.[1][2]
He married Annie FORTUNE on 11 November 1870 at Trinity Church, Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland. He was living at Littlemill, Ochiltree, Ayrshire, Scotland.[2] They had 3 children.

1861 at Kincardine Mamil, Kincardine, Ross-shire, Scotland.[3]
1871 at Colybank, Ochiltree, Ayrshire, Scotland where he was a railway labourer.[4]
1881 at Coylton, Ayrshire, Scotland where he was an ironstone miner.[5]
1891 at 51 Peeble Street, Newton-on-Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland where he was a carter.[6]
1901 at 48 Viewfield Road, Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland where he was a general labourer.[7]
He died in 1916 in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland, age 67 years. [8]
