OBITUARY
Mrs I. Squires
Mrs Isabella Squires, Kelso, who died in the Beaconsfield Hospital on Monday aged 88 years, was a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Cameron, who came to Tasmania from Scotland in the ship John Bell in 1855 and settled in the Winkleigh district.
Mrs Squires was born at Ilfracombe. She married the late James Squires and they took up residence at Kelso 44 years ago. There were two sons and five daughters, Messrs J. and D. Squires (Kelso), Mesdames Allen (Gippsland). Reaks (Melbourne), R. Carey. Mrs A. Guy (Launceston), and Mrs Hutchinson (deceased).
The funeral took place at the Beaconsfield cemetery on Tuesday. Chief mourners were Messrs J. and D. Squires (sons), Mesdames R. Carey and A. Guy (daughters), Mr Jabez Tunks (brother-in-law), Messrs R. Carey and A. Guy (sons-in-law). Misses W. and M. Squires and E. Guy, Messrs J. and K. Squires (grandchildren), Messrs J and T. Tunks (nephews). Carriers were Messrs J. and B. Neville.
Services at the . Methodist Church and graveside were conducted by the Rev M. H. Fletcher. Arrangements were by Mr C. T. Finney.[1]
