Biography

Archibald Boyle, son of Angus, was a magistrate in active practice, a carpenter and a farmer. In 1857 he married Mary Cameron, daughter of Ewan (Hugh) Cameron of South Cape Mabou. Ewan Cameron a native of Skye had a family, some of whom were in PEI and when his own home burned down he relocated there. Archibald and Mary's family were; Alexander, Murdock, Angus, Alexander, Hugh Cameron, Isabel, and Mary. ^[1]

Archibald Boyle (42) is on the 1871 census with wife Mary (32) and their young family; Alexander (7), Mary I (5), Mary (3), and Murdock (1 and a half). Also present is a Sarah MacDonald (15).^[2]

Mary died at just 33 years of age, her father is noted as Hugh Cameron and husband Archibald signed off. ^[3]
