Mary Cameron was born about 1831, in Bracadale, Inverness-shire, Scotland, child of Alexander Cameron and Flory MacDonald. She married Donald Matheson in 1854 in Geelong, Victoria. They had seven children in 14 years. She died on March 13, 1905, in Rupanyup, Victoria, at the age of 74.^[1]
