Here's a link to the 1881 census, showing Jannet, her daughter Mary Catherine Jones, and their boarder, Dr. J. L. Bethune (Mary C's then-future husband).
There are family trees on other websites suggesting that Janet was the daughter of John Cameron (1782-1851) and Ann Cameron (b. 1788), who were both born at Fort William, Invernesshire Scotland and were married there in 1811, and then in 1816 settled in Big Clearing Antigonish Nova Scotia.
It has also been said that Janet was the sister of Alexander Cameron, who was the collector of customs in Baddeck. See also here. I tend to think that Alex and Janet were indeed brother and sister, because here they are right next to each other on the 1871 census. Also, an Alexander Cameron was named an executor in Robert Jones's will (dated November 10, 1866), which would be understandable for a brother-in-law.
