Donald Cameron was the eldest son and heir of but he died before his father, between 1536 and 1539.
He held the office of Constable of the Castle of Strone on 24 October 1495, appointed by King James IV. On 8 November 1536 he had a charter of Knochdort and other lands in Inverness-shire from King James V.[1]
