Christian Campbell Bethune between 1725-1727 in Scalpay, Inverness was the daughter of Donald Campbell and Katherine MacDonald. The family emigrated in 1774 to New York, New York. They settled on McLendon's Creek in what is now Moore County, North Carolina.
