He married Isabel MacDougall about 1591 in Netherlorn, Argyllshire, Scotland. They had issue, including:

  1. Ann Campbell
  2. Margaret Campbell

Research Notes

Added a source that lists children not consistent with the the biography. I also would like to add Alexander Campbell as a child of this profile. If true, he would have married his niece in 1652 Isobel MacNeil [2] . This Alexander's brother Duncan granted a discharge to Isobel on 12 Jan 1649, but it does not say why, but there is obviously some marriage arrangement there. [3]

Alexander and his spouse Isobel MacDougall would be the parents of [3] [4]

  1. John Campbell, 4th of Lochnell. He married Anne Campbell of Auchinbreck
  2. Colin of Ardintallan, who had no issue
  3. Duncan, who granted a discharge to Isobel MacNeil in 1649
  4. Alexander, may have married Isobel MacNeil
  5. Archibald
  6. Mary, who married Hector MacNeil
  7. Janet. She married John Campbell, son of Alexander of Ardintallen
  8. Isabel, married John Campbell of Dunstaffnage

Campbell-47127 and Campbell-1128 appear to represent the same person because: There is not much details in Campbell-47127, but the dates, location and spouse are the same

Should the succession box be: # of Lochnell, instead of # Laird of Lochnell? Laird was not an actual title, just a status regarding the extent of land ownership, regionally.

See, for example: Wikipedia:Laird.
