Biography

"James Jameson son of Martin and Grizzel (Patterson) Jameson, was born May 24, 1738, in Biddeford, now Saco, Me. He married Nov. 21, 1758, Eleanor Stuart Campbell, daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Stuart) Campbell. She was aborn Aug. 21, 1739, in Biddeford.... They resided in Freeport, Me. Mr. Jameson died Sept. 28, 1818. Mrs. Jameson died June 7, 1819. Children were: Catherine, Martin, Daniel, Samuel, John Campbell, Hannah, James, Eleanor, Robert" [1]
