Ruth Victoria Gregg Campbell was born October 20th 1893 in Ottawa, Carleton, Ontario, Canada. [1] She lived in Ottawa [2][3] She appears to have been engaged to Douglas H. Calhoun who was killed in battle at Passchendaele, Belgium on October 19th 1917. At that time, she lived at 71 McLaren St., Ottawa. [4] Ruth remained there at least until 1924 when her sister was married. [5] and in 1949 was a P.R. officer. [6] Ruth died of chronic pyelonephritis in St. Vincent's Hospital, Ottawa 20 April 1961 and was buried in Beechwood Cemetery, Ottawa. [7]
