Biography

Sarah was born in Northumberland (now Columbia) Co., PA. She was the daughter of Benjamin Campbell and -1|Sarah Jane Teitsworth. After father's death, in the fall of 1825, she moved from Northumberland Co., PA to Morrow Co., OH, with Mother and 5 siblings, a 21 day journey by wagon. Sarah, age 20, was married in 1826 to William C. Ely, age 23. They had 9 children. Sarah died December 8,1895, age 89, or 1884, age 78.
