Elliott Peatross was born about 1784. He was the son of Joseph Campbell and Elizabeth Peatross. He passed away in 1858 Youngest child of Joseph and Elizabeth Campbell. He was 10 years old when his father died.

Elliott Peatross Campbell was born in 1784 in Caroline, Penola, VA and died there April 9, 1858. He married Elizabeth Wilson December 23, 1806. Andrew Broadus performed the ceremony. Elizabeth was born in 1788 in Caroline County, Penola, VA, and died there February 4, 1854. Her mother was a Terrell and she had a sister Margaret Wilson, born in 1803.

Elliott P. Campbell was the ancestor of T.. Elliott Campbell who served as the clerk of the Caroline County court and was author of Colonial Caroline (1954).

Campbell/Henderson Family Bible This Bible known as the Elliott Peatross Campbell bible, was printed and published by Matthew Caerey, Philadelphia, 1812. It is now owned by the Corpew family in Richmond, Va. THe Bible was published in the VIRGINIA GENEALOGIST, Volume 24, 1980,pp.117-118 with some minor differences from the orginal. The Bible was copied by Mrs. Nettie Leitch Major, Bethesdam Maryland. John C. Henderson and Mary L . Campbel married O ct. 21st, 1828; Edward W. Swann and Dorthy M. Campbell was married by Rev. Saint M. Faulkner October 26th in the year of our Lord 1841. Edward Swann was born in the year of our Lord February 12th, 1818. Dorothy M. Campbell was born January 7th, 1823. Joseph W. Campbell, the son of Elliot and Elizabeth was born on the 23rd of March 1811. William Hugh Campbell son of E.P. Campbell and E. Campbell was born on the 6th day of July 1813. Elizabeth Frances Henderson Daughter of John C. Campbell and Mary L. Campbell Henderson born 22nd December 1829. Lucy Ann Henderson daughter of John C. Henderson and Mary L. Henderson, born 25th February 1831. Mary Elizah Henderson Daughter of John C. Henderson and Mary L. C. Henderson ,born February the 5th 1833. She died 18th of February 1834, age one year and 13 days. Johnathan W. Terrell was born the 25th of Nov. 1845. (brother of Christopher Terrell, both of whom were sons of David and Agatha Chiles Terrell). Joseph Anderson son of Sarah Jane and Phillip S. Rennolds was born April 1851. Dorothy Elizabeth Rennolds daughter of Sarah Jane and Phillip S. Rennolds Sept. Messasseh Campbell the son of Elliott and Elizabeth Campbell was born April 22nd, 1828. Elizabeth Campbell was born April 22, 1828. Elizabeth P. {Wilson} Campbell died the 18th of Feb. 1854 Age 66. Written by daughter Dorothy Swann. Elliot P. Campbell died April 9th, 1858, age 74. Chistopher Terrell died Oct. 1826 aged 79 and 9days. [family traditioon says he was the father of Elizabeth Wilson Campbell's mother. The Terrell family book Richmond, William and Timothy Terrell by Barnhill, 1934, shows Christopher Terrell as having married Mary Wilson. We know that Elizabeth P. Wilson Campbell's Father was William Wilson and her mother was Lucinda Collins, so Chistopher's connection is somewhat confused in family tradition]. Christopher Terrell died Oct. 1826 aged 79 years and 9 days. Written by Joseph W. Campbell the 24th day of August 1828. Mary Terrell the wife of Christopher Terrell died the 15th of Oct. 1837. Sarah Terrell died Jan. 16, 18_8[date smeared]. Atwell E. Campbell the son of Elliot and Elizabeth Campbell was born 15th day of August 1819. Margaret M. Wilson died July the 6th, 1861. Married by Andrew Broddus the 23rd. of Dec. 1806, E.P. Campbell and Elizabeth Wilson, age 21 and 18 and she died 1854 Feb. 4th. In her sixty seventh year of age--And the bloom of maturity Surrounded by a Lovely group of children of whom any Mother might be proud. Blessed with comfort and care - Fascinating her Friends by winning attractions - Loving and beloved she was an ornament to her son and graced the Society in which she moved. Above all, she was Christian possessong that greatest of all Christian Vertues: Charity, Sweet sprit. A Friend who knew they virtues in youth and in maturity bids--[page torn].
