K. R. O'Hair talks about this first marriage in his book (see first source). Although there is no formal marriage document, I concur with K. R. O'Hair that this make sense Michael would marry as he turns 23 and there were Campbells in the area he was living. As to what happened to the children that is a puzzle. K. R. O'Hair says there were only 4 children: Michael b1774, John b1778, Jes b1780, and Elsberry b1782 (No Caty). With Sarah's death at or shortly after 1782.
