From "History of the Campbell Family", By Henry James Lee, pg. 72: Patrick, Robert and David Campbell, sons of John Campbell, went to St. Mark's parish, Orange County, between 1732 and 1741. Subsequently Patrick Campbell settled in Augusta County, Virginia. Other records of Virginia at this period show that, in 1738, surveys of land in Augusta County were had by Robert Campbell and Patrick Campbell.
The phrasing "Patrick Campbell for himself and Elizabeth" is our first indication that the name of his wife was "Elizabeth". While Elizabeth's surname is commonly given as Taylor, the basis for this is unknown. Subsequently land records, confirm Elizabeth as his wife: Samuel McCutchen, Grizelda McCutcheon and Patrick Campbell, brother of Grizelda, were executors of the will of James McCutcheon. James McCutcheon was the husband of Grizal Campbell. James was perhaps the brother or nephew of Samuel.
When Patrick Col Campbell and his twin sister Margaret were born in 1696 in Ireland, their father, John, was 22, and their mother, Grissel, was 18. He married Elizabeth Taylor in May 1721. They had 12 children in 26 years. He died on March 17, 1767, in Augusta, Virginia, at the age of 71.
Patrick Campbell has grandson General William Campbell through son Charles Campbell. On a SAR record for grandson n law 35187 for William Christian, it states Mary Campbell is granddaughter of John Campbell who immigrated to the US in 1726. On Another page for Mary Campbell it says she is the sister of William Campbell.

Curious about anyone's take on the Phil Norfleet (https://www.genealogy.com/ftm/n/o/r/Phil-Norfleet/BOOK-0001/0006-0002.html#CHILD3) book that has very extensive research. It's text seems to be used in a variety of places on this line, but the relationships between that book and the ones on wikitree are quite different.
