Biography

Sarah Ann Lodema "Sally" Campbell was born in 1834 in Iredell County, North Carolina, USA. She is the daughter of Theophilus Campbell and Tabitha Renee Allen Campbell. Sarah Campbell married Jonathon Leviticus Mize in 1855 in Iredell County. She died in 1874 in Fulton County, Arkansas and is buried in the Mize-Painter cemetery, Wild Cherry, Fulton County, Arkansas. ^[1]

Sarah and Jonathon had the following children:

Jonathon Leviticus Mize remarried in 1874, after Sarah died, to Mary E. (Harley) Stallcup, born in Georgeia. Mary had four children (F. Stallcup, N. Stallcup, E. Stallcup, and B. Stallcup) from her previous marriage to Mr. Stallcup, according to the 1880 Census.^[11] Only one child, a daughter named M. Mize was born in 1879 after Mary married Jonathon.

P. Van Hoy, a descendant of Sarah Campbell, daughter of John R. Campbell, who married William A. Van Hoy. It was given out at the first annual Campbell family reunion in Union Grove, Iredell, North Carolina. It was written based on recollections of the oldest living descendants in 1925 that lived in Union Grove, North Carolina and correspondence with descendants in Izard County Arkansas, as well as research of property deeds.
