Biography

Fred Elbert Campbell was born (Estimated) 1884 to father F M Campbell and mother Alice Stephenson.[1]

Fred C Danforth (Campbell) was enumerated as son (stepson) of the head of household in ED 139 Precinct 7 Bell Mills, Cleburne County, Alabama for the June 5, United States Census, 1900. He was noted as born September 1883 in Alabama and single. He was noted as a farm laborer. Also included in the household are head Bud Danforth, wife Alice A Danforth, son (stepson) Ross Danforth (Campbell), daughter (stepdaughter) Neva Danforth (Campbell), son (stepson) Frank Danforth (Campbell), son Charlie D Danforth and daughter Myrtle Danforth as seen in an image of the original census.[2]

F. Elbert Campbell wed Gladys Burton August 1, 1918 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama.[3]

Fred E Campbell was enumerated as head of the household at 7230 First Avenue South, Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama for the April 11, United States Census, 1930. He was noted as born 1884 in Alabama and married. He was first married at the age of thirty-one. He was an owner of a home worth $6000 and a clerk (yard office steam railroad) as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are wife Ruth B Campbell, daughter Helen K Campbell and mother-in-law Clementine M Burton.[4]

Fred Elbert Campbell died December 1, 1938 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama. His wife was listed as Ruth. He was buried at Elmwood Cemetery on December 3, 1938.[1]
