Biography

Mary Campbell was born around 1704 in Ireland Her parents were Robert Campbell and Janet Stuart.

She first married Robert Gordon around 1725 probably in Voluntown. Her parents were one of the earliest "Congregational" church members in Voluntown. They joined on 23 Oct 1723.

Together they had the following children:

1. George Gordon, b. 1726^[1]
2. Jane Gordon, b. 1728^[2]
3. Robert Gordon, b. 1731^[3]
4. Mary Gordon, b. 1733^[4]

Mary Campbell received church membership on November 3, 1729 in Voluntown, Connecticut.^[5]

She married second John Montgomery on 17 April 1735 in Voluntown, Connecticut^[6][7]

Together they had the following children:

1. William Montgomery^[8]
2. Josiah Montgomery, b. 1737^[9]
3. Robert Montgomery^[10]
4. Charles Montgomery, b. 1742^[11]
5. Ezekiel Montgomery, b. 1744^[12]
6. Asa Montgomery^[13]

She died on August 22, 1750 in Voluntown, New London, Connecticut
