On May 9, 1860, Caroline V. Cannaday, 20 b. Franklin county, Virginia, the daughter of Peter and Mildred Cannaday, married D. P. Hickman, a 29 year old widower b. Franklin County, the son of Joseph and Jane Hickman.[1] {Although the record says "Hickman," the actual name was Heckman.
