Biography

Idumea Cantrell was the daughter of Elijah Cantrell and Rebecca LIttle.

Idumea married John Arnold on 11 January 1846 in Marion County, Alabama, according to John's Family Search profile[1]. We have been so far unable to locate the marriage document, but at any rate, she is shown as "Iduna Arnold" (wild variations in name spellings are not uncommon in this time period) with John and two children already by 1850[2]. Further children are indicated in subsequent census years[3][4][5].

She passed away in 1899 in Marion County, Alabama and is buried in Bexar Cemetery, Marion County.[6]
